Before writing a book, author Ashley Shult Langdon was just trying to find some wild space near home to explore with her kids during the strange and isolating days of the pandemic. Without meaning to, Ashley developed a special appreciation for the mildly scenic daily adventure: the kind of place that delivers the thrill of the natural environment without the hours of travel and vacation time. She loved what she found so much, she wrote a book about it!
